FAQ

What is the ISDRS?

The International Sustainable Development Research Society organises yearly conferences under the ISDRS flag, with 2015 being the 21st conference in a row. With working groups we exchange and disseminate knowledge and educate others about sustainable development.

More about us

What are the benefits of joining ISDRS?

Paying members receive additional benefits, such as reduced fees for conferences, access to journals and access to more information on the website - this will include access to abstracts and papers from conferences.

What is sustainable development (SD)?

You can find a very informative article on the concept of sustainable development here.

Who are governing the ISDRS?

You can find more information on the people behind the ISDRS and their roles here.

What do I need to do to receive access to the journals?

Besides having at least a Green(+) membership, you need to add your full address details on your profile. Wiley (the publisher) needs this information to give you access. Please also note that access is not granted immediately: it can take a while before you receive an email from Wiley with your login details.

What do I need to do if I can't login?

If you are already a member, you can go to the login page. Here you can login. There is also a link that says "Lost your password?". You can use this to request a new password. When logging in, please make sure to use your username. Trying to log in with your email address will not work.

Can I pay with something other than PayPal?

Unfortunately we don't offer other methods of payment. However, PayPal is a worldwide, trusted and free service. If you do have any questions about payments, please contact us here.

How can I renew my membership?

All memberships are valid for the period of one year. After this year you will have to renew your membership to be able to receive all the benefits. You can renew your membership here while you are logged in.

When is the next conference?

We have an annual ISDRS conference, however the most up-to-date information on that is to be found on the conference website here.

How can I become active in a working group?

If you find a working group that you are interested in or want to contribute to, please email the contact person of the group. You can find the information on the specific pages for each group. If there is no page yet, but you think you can contribute, please email us here.
