Dr. Stella Emery Santana is a Doctor in Environmental Oceanography from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), Vitoria, Brazil, is a distinguished academic and legal professional with a multidisciplinary background. With a Master’s in Law and Economics from Universidade Gama Filho (UGF), Rio de Janeiro, and an MBE in International Analysis from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Dr. Emery Santana combines expertise in environmental science, law, and international policy. A Bachelor of Law graduate from Faculdade de Direito de Cachoeiro de Itapemirim (FDCI), Brazil, Dr.Emery Santana is a registered attorney at the Espírito Santo State Bar (OAB-ES) and was a nominated member of the National Environment Commission for the Brazilian Bar Association (2022-2024).
As a Professor of Law at Centro Universitário FAESA, Vitoria, and an Affiliate Faculty of Law at the Robert H. McKinney School of Law, IUPUI, Indianapolis, USA, Dr.Emery Santana is deeply engaged in legal education and research. Additionally, as an Adjunct Faculty of Law at FIU College of Law, Miami, USA, and a Permanent Professor in the Water Resources and Management Post-Graduate Program (ProfÁgua/UFES), Dr. Emery Santana contributes to advancing knowledge in environmental law, water resource management, and sustainable development.
Dr. Stella Emery Santana is an active member of the Latin American Initiative for Law, Society, and Culture (ILADISC) and serves on the International Editorial Advisory Board for Jurnal Undang-undang dan Masyarakat (JUUM), The Malaysian Journal of Law and Society. It focuses on the formation and application of law in society, providing a platform for intellectual discourse, research findings, and theoretical debates across diverse legal traditions.
