Professor Dr Peter Dobers is currently President of the ISDRS. Dobers is professor in Business Studies at Södertörn University (Stockholm, Sweden) 2016-2022 after 10 years on the Chair of Business Studies and Sustainable Development at Mälardalen University (Västerås, Sweden) in 2005-2015. He was the dean of the Faculty Board at Södertörn University and was guest professor at the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden) in Sustainable Collaboration during 2015-2016. He is currently a Senior Advisor in Collaboration to the vice chancellor of Södertörn University.

He has published more than 35 articles in well respected journals such as Sustainable Development, Business Strategy and the Environment, Progress in Industrial Ecology and Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, but also in mainstream management journals such as Scandinavian Journals of Management, and in mainstream organisation journals such as Organization and Journal of Organizational Change Management. He has edited and co-edited eight special issues in some of the above mentioned journals and has published about ten books and many book chapters, the latest in Sustainable Development in 2023 on "Sustainability in Transforming Societies" with professor Gyula Zilahy.

Since 1999, Dobers is on the editorial board of Business Strategy and the Environment (currently Principal Editor) and Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, and recently on Business Strategy and Development. He is editor with professor Gyula Zilahy of the Routledge/ISDRS Series in Sustainable Development Research, and editor with professor Ranjula Bali of two Handbooks coming up at Routledge in 2023:
