The eighth theme addresses the human condition to be improved by sustainable development policies: safeguarding human rights and equitable access for groups in all their diversity to the public life, decision making, health and well-being. It focusses on the needs, strategies and outcomes related to gender balance, ethnicity, class and forms of diversity as social foundations of stable sustainable societies. This group relates to SDG 3 and 5 and has two topic groups:
