Saurabh Biswas
Saurabh Biswas is a Scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's Energy & Environment Directorate and an Adjunct Faculty at Arizona State University's School for the Future of Innovation in Society. He studies the complex relationship of energy infrastructures, technologies, social institutions and sustainable futures. With a particular focus on historically marginalized populations and places, his research advances understanding on the critical aspects of design, implementation and assessment of energy technologies. Saurabh has contributed to the planning, decision-making and stakeholder participation in energy transition programs at the local community to national levels, in the US, Sierra Leone, Brazil, Nepal, Uganda, Bolivia, Philippines, India and Puerto Rico. Saurabh is the co-founder of the open knowledge initiative called 'Let Communities Lead' which showcases stories of community-led local energy transitions from around the globe.
